'Skelligs' Travelling around the Dingle Peninsula
I was struck by the mystery and light reflected on the
skelligs. In the painting I feel that the figures
emerging are part of the meeting within the mystery of
the mountains.

'Adam and Eve' stand at the ancient stone circle of
Avbury dated back to 1,000 of years B.C and once a centre
of religious and ancient ceremonies. In the distance is
Silbury Hill an ancient pre Christian man made mound.

'Soul Search' along the Antrim Coast at Cushendall
are some caves, a place I have sat many times both alone
and with others. It's places like these that one can
truly be in a place of soul search.

'Guardians' are two protecting stones at the
opening of West Kennet Long Barrow near to Avbury in
Wiltshire. It is one of the largest and best-preserved
chambered tombs in Britain.

'The Great Mother' reflects the landscape of
Glastonbury and appears in the form of a giant woman
lying on her back on the flat Summerland meadows. To
enter the landscape and journey towards the summit of the
Tor depicted in the bottom right corner.

'Slemish' an extinct volcano in County Antrim that
stands out drawing the eye from miles away. It's a
gathering and focal point for many pilgrims. The painting
reflects like the volcano what lies deep beneath and has
been exposed in all its colors and shades what lies
beneath its core.

'Tracing The Rose Line' is inspired whilst at the
Goddess Festival in Glastonbury. Glastonbury is known as
a sacred place to many pilgrims. The most prominent
landmark is the 'Tor', below the Tor runs leylines and
channels of fresh water springs, these spring water
emerge at various locations around the 'Tor' one in
particular is the Chalice Well. There are many myths and
legends and sacred stories connected to the waters and
its color. 'Tracing The Rose Line' is an expression of
those leylines, rose color waters on the hill.

'Beneath The Shade of Blue' is inspired by
(Mary's Song) sung by Katie Melu and known as 'I Cried
For You' it begins 'You're beautiful so silently, it lies
beneath a shade of blue. It struck me so violently, when
I looked at you... It's the journey inwards into the
depth of oneself that the beauty is revealed.

'Whisper Her Beauty' is to whisper to the beauty in
oneself, there deep within the caverns of ones being will
emerge the 'muse', that gives birth to creation within.

'Story Teller' - The inspiration for story teller
comes from the ceremonial avenue of standing stones
leading to the circle at Avebury. Whilst painting I began
to see figures emerging and thought of the stories once
told at ceremonies dating back to 2000B.C.
